Taylor Alison Swift nasceu no dia 13 de dezembro de 1989 em Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Foi a primeira filha de Scott e Andrea Swift e desde o momento em que pode falar, todos perceberam que ela tinha um talento, sua voz. Taylor foi influenciada por várias pessoas em sua vida, como por exemplo, sua avó, que era uma cantora de ópera, e a estrela do country LeAnn Rimes. Se Taylor seguisse os desejos da mãe, ela não estaria na indústria de música country, mas sim em rodeios. Porém não era isso que ela tinha em mente. Quando tinha 10 anos, Taylor começou a se apresentar em shows de karaokê, festivais e feiras.
